NewsHello from PK! First off we'd like to say "thank you" to everyone that came to the R-BAR acoustic show this week!! We had a great time and are glad you enjoyed the acoustic versions of our tunes. REALLY HOT news!!! This past week, PROM KING was one of 16 bands selected for New Jersey's own WDHA (105.5 FM) Homegrown Battle of the Bands contest ( http://www.wdhafm.com/battleofthebands.htm ) There are 4 nights of music with each having 1 winner for the final "Battle of the Bands" which will take place on April 1st. The GRAND PRIZE WINNER will open WDHA's Rock the Park 2004, at Yogi Berra Stadium this summer, and will have their music played on 105.5 WDHA throughout the summer of 2004!! We really need your support on this one, so please try to make it out to the gig!!! Here's the details... On March 18th, PROM KING will be playing with 3 other bands at Double D's in Morristown, NJ. We go on at 11pm. ( http://www.doubleds-morristown.com/site/rock_index.html ). There's FREE ADMISSION from 7pm - 8pm, then $3 cover after 8pm. NewsWe hope you all had a wonderful summer and are looking forward to some cool weather this fall...enough with the heat! It's been a very long and challenging road for us, but all the work has finally paid off!! After many shows and lots of studio time, we are going to be releasing our first full length CD, "Bound to Fall" in October on Immersive Recordings. We're also going to have 2 record release parties to celebrate, one in NYC (at The Baggot Inn) and one in NJ (at The Court Tavern w/ 2 really amazing bands, Akasa & Val Emmich). CD's will be available for purchase at both shows for $10 each. We hope you can make it out to one of the parties. NewsIt's hard to believe that Easter is right around the corner considering all the snow we got today!!! So.......I can't think of a better way to celebrate Good Friday & Easter weekend than a Prom King show in NYC!!! Our next show is on that special meatless Holy day, Good Friday, April 18th at the Baggot Inn in NYC. Get there early and receive FREE Beef Jerky!!! (just kidding!) No offense to the Catholics or Vegetarians! ...though we might throw in some of those little yellow marshmallow peeps to celebrate Easter! We're also making a return trip to beautiful downtown Jersey City...yes, you read that correctly...on Friday, April 25th, Prom King returns to the intimate, Uncle Joe's. The info for both shows is listed below. For those of you who made it out to the Maxwell's and Don Hill's shows, muchos gracias!!!
